Brush Care and Cleaning Guide

Your Mru Beauty brushes are crafted for performance, precision and longevity. Proper cleaning and storage will help maintain the softness, shape and performance of your brushes for years to come.

How to clean your brushes

  1. Clean after use. For professional use, clean your brushes after every client. For personal use, clean them regularly depending on how often you use them.
  2. Use a gentle cleanser. A mild brush cleanser, gentle liquid soap or a professional makeup-brush cleaning solution. Avoid harsh detergents, alcohol-heavy cleaners or strong chemicals.
  3. Wet the bristles, not the handle. Hold the brush with the bristles pointing downward and wet only the bristle area with lukewarm water. Do not soak the entire brush, and avoid letting water enter the ferrule.
  4. Clean gently with your fingers or a brush-cleaning mat, without pulling, twisting or rubbing the fibres.
  5. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  6. Remove excess water. Gently squeeze the bristles in a soft towel. Never twist, wring or pull the bristles.
  7. Reshape and dry flat on a clean towel, with the bristles extending slightly over an edge so air can circulate. Let them dry completely before storing.

What to avoid

  • Do not use boiling or very hot water.

  • Do not use high-heat hair dryers.
  • Do not store brushes while they are damp.

Storage — clean, dry, store

Always make sure your brushes are completely dry before placing them inside the pouch. Store them away from excessive moisture, direct sunlight and extreme heat. Brushes used with heavy pigment should be cleaned more often than brushes used only with powder.

Do these shed?

No shedding in normal use. The bristles are locked into a seamless ferrule, so you are not pulling stray hairs out of a finished face minutes before a performance. If a brush sheds under ordinary work, our guarantee covers it.

Will they hold heavy stage pigment?

Yes. Rasa was built around bold colour — dense heads that pick up and place heavy pigment, and blenders that soften it without lifting the base underneath.

How do I wash and care for them?

Clean with a mild brush cleanser, rinse until the water runs clear, reshape and dry flat. Brushes used with heavy pigment should be cleaned more often. Full steps are in the Brush Care and Cleaning Guide above.

What is the bindi stamp for?

It places a clean, round bindi in a single press, so the shape is identical on every artist and every night — no freehand, no touch-ups.

What does the guarantee cover?

If a brush fails under normal use, tell us and we replace it. We build tools to be used and used again, not to sit on a shelf.
